I’ll be honest: when I brought SureContacts, I never intended to use it. I have FluentCRM, MailerPress, and a few other SAAS based CRMS. If i want to run a mailing list for a site, I install FluentCRM or MailerPress, and away I go.
I bought it because I like Sure products, and thought you never know I may find a use for it, but I never really intended to go looking for it, and there it has sat pretty much unused since the day I bought it.
The Problem
I am working on a project and am going to need some beta testers, I wanted it to not be branded its an OSS project its not for me but I need to collect intersted peoples details and be able to email them pretty simple except Mailerpress, fluentCRM and others they are all designed to be one business, one entity and what I may have wanted as the confirmation email or the confirmation page just couldn’t be debranded they are designed for a single entity working with one consistant brand the thing is these projects of mine, ususally last 6 months I don’t want a full site for it a static landing page a form and the “list” on one of my existing sites was what i wanted.
I tried every creative situation I could yesterday to get this working and just couldn’t achieve that separation I wanted. I was at the end of my tether with it so after going away for a while, having a cuppa and eating, I remembered about SureContacts.
Why SureContacts Worked?
Its simple SureContact is a a SAAS but equally it was built with agencies in mind which means workspaces within it are unique setups, this allows me to have a small list i expect no more than 50 for this project, with a custom confirm email I can brand as I need to and way we go.
Workspaces are distinct and as individual as they get, meaning they did exactly what I wanted, there remotely hosted, have their own SMTP settings and mean I can customise the signup and confirm emails just for this project, these projects usually have about 50-100 people in them at most, I may send 20 emails over a lifecycle before they are moved over to my main list unless anyone objects. Thanks to SureContact, I now have a way to do this.
What’s more, a quick support question confirms my paid account has Unlimited workspaces :)

This shelfware just became active; use with a single feature I couldn’t find anywhere else, so now I have my static site, with a static craftform going to the backend. Now I needed to get my contact information into SureContacts.
The Back End
Now SureContacts comes with a WordPress plugin, but this doesn’t support the Craft Forms backend, so I went with a Flowmatic-based solution. At first, I tried a custom app against this endpoint https://api.surecontact.com/api/v1/public/contacts which can be viewed here https://api.surecontact.com/docs#contact-management-POSTapi-v1-public-contacts, but the lists and contact function were a bit complex in the JSON, so in the end the workflow looked like this

And that is me done with a Static bunnyshell site with a form connected to a secure backend using Craft Forms and a flowmattic workflow. My contacts are now saved on SureContacts with nice branded, unique details.
Once again, SureContacts saved the day here, i could find nothing else to match this.
