While I don’t have a lot to add on the title I have given it a little spin, it works well and one of the authors is very active on twitter they have launched a limited, founders lifetime deal and they’ve had some slack for the pricing starting at $299 for three sites not for a new plugin this is higher than average but i’ve said it before some WordPress plugins are considerably underpriced and the same annual subscription is planned to be $199 so actually its a fair price.
I don’t want to talk pricing that’s for the author, full disclosure i brought it I like to support other authors and plugin developers and try new WordPress plugins and solutions and who wouldn’t there are bits i like and bits I don’t.
I’ll start with the positive
Its light, quick and a single installed plugin how it should be, It seems well coded the code is commented as you would expect and its UI is modern something that with event plugins in general isn’t always great, and for an early item with a large amount of stuff still to come like tickets for example it feels reasonably feature rich and i found no glaring bugs in my testing
A big positive for me as you know I don’t allow plugins to update automatically this is all controlled by me, my utility plugin and my MainWP dashboard something Event Koi Supports straight out the box, something more plugin developers should support I am not alone in this principle.

This to me is an excellent feature and one I hope to see other developers begin to take up, some of us like to control our sites, our code and this is what the GPL allows.
The not so good
I am not going to dwell on this I have some early concerns about the EULA I’ve been vocal of my support for the GPL licencing and all that licence allows me as an end user to do as a user software freedom is important to me and currently the way the EULA is worded in my opinion doesn’t support the software freedoms the GPL allows.
Firstly its generic and not WordPress Specific and second of all it doesn’t guide with the GPL which as a WordPress plugin this plugin has to follow.
For example under Section 4 restricted use, item 3 and 5 are in direct disagreement with the GPL they effectively limit your ability to derive from it or create a modification something that is a fundemental right of the GPL the second fundamental principle of GPL V2 being “offer you this license which gives you legal permission to copy, distribute and/or modify the software.”
Once I let the dust settle I plan on asking about this as my hope is this is a placeholder EULA and they haven’t considered the consequences of this, which is why I am not dwelling on it, I have the refund period another reason I am not panicked good companies tend not to offer this

Interested?
The founding lifetime deal is short term and expires on Monday 1st September I believe it will be the only lifetime deal they will be offering so I recommend you check it out.
