Tapermonkey Script: Toggle Password Masking for Form Fields

Tech Articles | February 1, 2025 | Blog, Coding, Wordpress

One of my issues with recording my videos is blurring out certain form fields. I have, therefore been trying to think of a way I don’t need to apply Zeroblur every time I want to do something, and I think I have finally hit on an option for license keys

I am writing a new TaperMonkey script that allows me to turn almost every form field into a password field, and subsequently, this means it is masked. What is even better about this is it can be turned on and off with a simple keyboard shortcut in the case of the base version Alt + X

I think I will find this most useful in videos where I have to install and activate a plugin. This is my fourth new taper monkey script in about 48 hours, with an auto installer for Ninja Updater (Alt + Ctrl +I), Auto Installer for Command UI (Alt + Ctrl + C) and a popup to install a remote plugin by URL (Alt + Ctrl + P)

You can see an example of this script in action in the gif below as it is being recorded, I am alternating between on and off by pushing Alt + X

If you think this script would be useful to you, you can download a copy by clicking here
